Default My Condolonces

I just wanted to spread some Yankee prayers down to those of you who are suffering in Enterprise in the wake of that massive tornado. I just saw a young girl who was interviewed on the news who was in tears, saying basically that three girls near her were crushed by falling debris in the hallway that stopped at her. I can recall having tornado drills up here in PA as well back in high school, but we never took them seriously, thinking "a tornado will never hit here." As we just saw in Enterprise, these vicious storms can strike anywhere." I also saw a photo of a pick-up truck being tossed against the side of a now-defunct home. I can't believe that nature can destroy an entire town over the course of mere minutes! I'll be keeping you in my prayers as your community continues to mourn, rebuild, and recover. It's times like these that help to bring neighborhoods together to help complete strangers to engage in acts of kindness, and I'm hoping to see some stories about this as well to help overshadow the destruction. Best of luck in the wake of the storm!

I'd like to add my condolences as well. People do know, and care.

(Scranton, I'm out of rep points for the day, but you are a compassionate and wonderful young man.)

Thank you. We hear about tornadoes slamming different areas on a daily basis, but it becomes different when a half-dozen children perish in their own school building; it just adds an even greater overtone of sadness to this whole ordeal. We've had several tornadoes in my area over the past decade as well, but thankfully only two lives were claimed when a mobile home was lifted off of its site. I can't imagine a whole town being flattened the way Enterprise was! I begin to wonder sometimes if it wouldn't be better to burden taxpayers just a wee bit more to mandate that all school facilities have basements to make them safer refuges in times of emergencies like this.

This is very sad. I know someone from overseas that was visiting friends in Enterprise, and she said that her friends knew some of the people that died.

Small world maybe??

Thank you!!!

It gets real when it is on your door step. When Ivan was about to hit our manager refused to let people go home. She just relocated from Cinncinnati and "a bit of wind" did not fit into her world. But she was not happy here and left after a short period of time. I rather prepare a dozen times and nothing happens then disregard warnings.

The contacts in our neigborhood are rather loose but before or during bad weather it changes. One for all - all for one. From moving heavy lawn furniture to calling from the store (do you need ...), checking on singles to heavy duty extension cords between houses to share generator access to chain saw clean up.
