want to move to alabama
hey yall! right now im a student in florida, i plan to move out of florida after i graduate because i hate this state its practically puerto rico and it sucks. ill most likely move to alabama. im lookin at northern alabama. i want to move to a small town filled with good ole southern people. i definitely want to own a lot of land. i will tell you i am a redneck so i want to be in a place where i can hunt, fish, gator hunt, go muddin, and an assortment of other things. id prefer to be close to a river(no more than an hour and a half away). any information you could give me on schools, weather, people, jobs, and the like would be great! thanks so much!

Gator hunt? Stick with LA (Lower Alabama). We do have a few gators in the Tennessee River, but they hibernate in the cold months.

Yeah, I'd say look into northern Baldwin County in the areas of Bay Minette or Stockton. Maybe even Creola over in Mobile County.

Now is a GREAT time to look and buy. With interest rates below 5% and tons of property to choose from, it IS a Buyers market here.
I know a few good Realtors in N. Alabama if you would like me to put you in touch with them.

If you want a river you can't get much better than the Tensaw River which empties into Mobile Bay. Plenty of fishing, and gator hunting season is in September I believe.

I don't know about gator hunting, but the Alabama Gulf Coast has some excellent fishing. My family and I chartered a boat in Orange Beach a few years ago and we had a blast. We caught quite a bit too. It was great.

Lots of people go to Pensacola Beach and fish from the pier too (I know, that's Florida ).
