A&PMechanic is on a distinguished road
Default Moving to AL, Good town??

I am looking for a small town to move to, I want at least 5 acres, maybe more and I am a aircraft/auto mechanic so I need to be near either an airport or a place that has an auto shop of some sort.

I wanna live out in the wilderness but within 15 mins of a town of some sort.

I dont need a house, i will be building my own so I need some ideas for a town to look into as well as some prices for land.

I would consider the area around Ft. Payne. It's beautiful up there, with a nice small town setting, and the mountains and woods ringing the valley. Mentone is somewhat of a B&B destination, along with several camps, the Little River Canyon and a host of other things. It's equidistant between Chattanooga and Birmingham, with Gadsden a little closer.
