It's quiet. Very family oriented. The wild college student spring break with beach parties won't be found in GS.
Look below the bottom of this thread and you'll find other threads that will give you specifics. You ought to make reservations ASAP.

Go to LuLu's for lunch or dinner (Jimmy Buffets sister is LuLu).. Not cheap but the atmosphere is Key West style.
There is a zoo (the little zoo that could on animal planet). You can also take a ferry from Ft Morgan to Dauphin Island. http://www.gulf-shores-alabama.net/g...in-island.html
In Foley go to Lambert's.. home of the throwed rolls.

Go to Stacy's drugstore for a ice cream sunday

Lots of good food, be sure you try the fried crab claws and West Indies salad if you like crab

You will find night life in GF trust me epecialy during Spring break. There are several reastaurants that you will run across on the strip please try Lambert`s Home of the Throwed Rolls . The name of that place is exactly what they do ,lol. The Warf is nice as well it has shopping and is always throwing free conerts with top artist such at Motley Crew, Maroon 5 ,U2 with Bono and others . Im sure there will be several acts during your stay. I saw over a dozen of them in the news paper the other day and those acts were coming pre Spring break. Of cousre there are water parks and other type of recreation and try Bama Bayou as well it has a dolphin show and other stuff. You will find something to do when you land ,lol believe me and LU LU`s has a very nice party atmospher, Please try the Origan Oyster House, and Wintzells as well. During the Spring break season you will find a party type of atmosepher in certain areas of the beach with other college students .
