Compass Bank was bought out by a Spanish banking company...First American Banks were bought out by a Canadian company...another banking company (can't think of the name now) was bought out and company HQ moved to Charlotte...Rust Engineering, well we know how construction is going these days...

I hope Regions doesn't go under, I have all of my accounts with them 
I have no idea about HealthSouth or Vulcan Materials except that they were listed as the Fortune 500 companies in Birmingham. |

Neither Healthsouth or Vulcan are Fortune 500. Regions probably won't go under, they're structured pretty good. Unless you just have a lot of money in there, you won't have to worry about losing anything.
