OK, maybe we should just leave them alone.

Guntersville-Albertville-Boaz already is a boom town. It deserves a name... the Sand Mountain Triad? haha

I think all the major cities in Alabama are doing quite well. I listened to an economist speak before the Chamber of Commerce, and he contended that Birmingham is incredibly poised for growth once we get through the bad economy, what with financial, medical, and distribution.

Alabama can have more than one particular area or city boom. Look at states like Texas where practically every major city or area is progressive. Houston-Dallas-Austin-San Antonio-Corpus Chisti...etc

By the way, as an aside, somebody should erect a statue to Bob Riley when he leaves office. The man has probably done more positive things for this state, than any 20 of his predecessors put together.

Same here! I dunno what we're gonna do without him. I'm surprised there haven't been plans at some of the college and university's in the state to name some buildings after him.

Maybe Patsy will run as a figurehead, a la Lurleen Wallace. Except competent.

Yes hands down that man is the best we have had so far.
I have a feeling Davis who represent Birmingham may be the winner up.

You know, I lean more Republican than Democrat, but I like Artur Davis. He is exceptionally qualified from all that I can tell.
