Hi all,

Me and my wife are planning to buy a house in a new construction area in Phenix city, AL but was wondering which place was better. There are 2 subdivisions we're looking at, Orchard Hills by Stanford Rd off 26th court or Marshall Heights by 16th Ave.. We're not very familiar with neither of the areas so we really need as much infos as we can get. Thanks

Look at the northside of the city off of Summerville Road. Where are you moving from?

Go with Orchard Hills.....nice 4 bedroom/2 level homes at $150k with light traffic to work etc.
Stay away from North bypass/summerville road racetrack....

My husband and I moved from Phenix City about 2 yrs ago. He was stationed at Ft. Benning. We were buying a house there. It was out Hwy 80 passed Ladonia. We really loved that area and if we hadn't been sent to another post would still be there. If we ever got sent back there, I would want to move back tosame area. The schools were in Smith Station, which seems to have good teaching qualities. We lived in Doe Run. It is off of 80 between Smiths Station.
