Default Possibly moving the the Oxford/Anniston area

I'm looking for information about Oxford/Anniston. We are considering a move there. I am particulary concerned about the chemical contamination of the Anniston area. I am wondering how safe it is to live there? Are there still any worries?

I hear wonderful things about the area and am looking forward to the possiblity of moving there. This is my only concern. We have two children (one in middle school and the other in elementary) and have heard the Oxford schools are good.

Thanks!

Try doing a search we don't have a lot of folks from Anniston who post here frequently but we do have other posts asking about Anniston. There is a tab that says 'search this forum' on the right side of the page. If you need help let me know

I am from Oxford and the chemical clean-up has been extinsive. Monsanto now Solutia has bought up neighborhoods and paid billions in settelments. There are three housing projects in the area where contamination is in question and of all the people i have meet who have recieved settelment money none have had anything real wrong with them besides Oxford is on the other side of Coldwater Mountain from the chemical plant (water does not run up hill).
