I will be relocating to Alabama and working at the Anniston Army Depot. I am looking to purchase a nice size home in a housing development not too far from the Depot but in a nice safe & respectible area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, has anyone heard of Shadowland apartments in Anniston?

We don't have many folks in the Anniston area who post on CD, however there are several older threads you might want to do a search and see if any of the info will help you until someone from Anniston checks in.

Search using Anniston or Oxford. If you need help send me a DM

There are a lot of nice areas around here but I would definitely recommend NOT to live in Anniston. Anniston it's self doesn't have a good school district and is not always the safest place. I would recommend looking in Weaver that is where we are. I would also recommend Alexandria, Oxford or Jacksonville. Hope that helps!!

Mrs. Bentley, are you familiar with the Anniston/Oxford/J-Ville area because your name is highly familiar.

Sorry if my last post was vague. I just remember someone with that name in a class I took.

I agree with Mrs. Bentley. Definitely don't move to Anniston. Lot of other nice areas near the depot.

Default Anniston apartments

I haven't heard of those apartments, but I know a lady who rents 1-bedroom furnished apartments at 1525 Noble St. Her number is 256-236-1351 if you are interested.
