Best schools in Dothan?
Hi,
My DH is applying for a job in Dothan. What are the best schools in or near Dothan? Neighborhoods? Zip codes to look at homes?
We have three elementary aged kids. Schools are important to us.
What else would be good to know about Dothan before (potentially) relocating a family there?
Thanks!

Are you considering private schools as well?

Did you check Great Schools? What did you learn?
Did you check the AL Dept of Education? What did you learn?

I would consider private schools. I'm only in the preliminary stages of my research - but if I found a private school that I thought would be the best fit for my kids, I would absolutely consider it.
Thanks for your input.

I've never found the Great Schools web-site to be particularly helpful. I asked on this forum, because I feel that local residents have a good feel for which schools are the best, and which neighborhoods are the best.
I will check the AL Department of Education. Thanks for your input.

I have heard good things in regards to Rehobeth High School. Nothside Methodist Academy is also a good school (private).

I am new in Dothan, the schools here seem a little behind where I am from.

We just moved here recently, the teaching skills here are a little behind, but everyone seems real nice.
