Default State Hiring Freeze?
Does anyone know if the state is under a hiring freeze for new govt employees?

Yes, there's a hiring freeze right now. I have heard that the Governor and/or Director of Finance must approve all new applicants/hires at this time, at least for this Fiscal Year.

Check montgomeryadvertiser.com and search hiring freeze. Should have a few articles pop up.
