Why no Montgomery Sub-forum?
Why isn't there a sub-forum on Montgomery? City-Data folks, please add one. Can't ignore the 3rd largest city in Alabama and the capital!

Fourth largest metro area though :-) We purposely didn't add a Montgomery forum because Mimpdaddy loves it there so much. People in Birmingham, Huntsville and Mobile seem more interesting in having development discussions though its not directly a measure of a city's population because Huntsville had a sub-forum even before Birmingham did.

Yeah, it's a matter of demographics. Huntsville has more people who have time to post on forums. For example, slacker, smart-aleck engineers who sit on the internet all day at work.

More seriously, I think people moving *to* areas, or traveling to areas, are likely to use these city-data forums than people who already live there. (Even a large number of active residents who post, started posting because they were investigating the area for a move.)
Right now, more people are leaving California than moving there. A lot of people have reason to go to Florida - major vacation destination for the entire east coast and southeast, not to mention such a big retirement destination. Huntsville right now, has a large recruitment effort going on, as well as a military destination - and perhaps especially since so many people have never heard about it, the combination of factors leads a lot of people to want to research the area. Some cities have more newcomers from neighboring cities and states, while a place like Huntsville has newcomers from far and wide - people who need to do more extensive research.
