Default Public Schools vs. Private Schools

I am relocating into the area from New England. I would like to know what you recommend the public or private schools. What specific private schools are good and what experiences have been w/both public and private. I have a middle school child and high school. I am thinking about moving to Spanish Fort, AL. Thanks

GOOD choice.Public ,but only in Spanish Fort Daphne and Fairhope ,in that order.Daphne High will have an International Baccalaureate program beginning in 2008 and has the best sports program in the state.

Depends on where in Alabama. Generally speaking, north Alabama has very good public schools. South of Birmingham, it depends. Mobile is know for its private schools, but in the Spanish Fort/Daphne area, I believe they have good public schools. Welcome to Alabama~!
