FYI... I merged Harry's thread with one from yesterday..

Too funny Harry.. You hit the nail on the head with that one.

How long was he suppose to be in the park?

The best part was when he walks right into a planned burn and then made it sound like he was surrounded by a wildfire.

I had never watched it before and I don't plan on watching it again. Too phony.

I don't like man v wild. The guy is all drama. I won't watch it -- even for laughs.

They have another dude with some common sense who does his own camera work. I'll watch him from time to time. I can't recall the name of the show, but he did a good episode down in south GA and another one adrift at sea that was pretty wild.

How about our own version?

We live in a tiny garden home with HOA mafia, lots of birds/chipmunks, patio fridge and hot tub.

How will we survive the tragedy of an empty glas while in the "crock pot" while hummingbirds dive bomb the red knobs on the martini glass and the neighborhood police knocks on the gate? Help! Where is my towel!!! Who will be condemned to get refills? Walk on brick, grab icy cold ice cubes, deal with technology and make it back to warm water and safety with a full glas for those anxiously awaiting the hunter/gatherer?

Actually we did have a 6-footer cotton mouth versus shovel the other day.

LOL, I've had grass fires in my field before that were worse than that. If he was able to get water out of a mud hole that means it had rained recently, so the fire couldn't have been too bad.

Can't wait to watch this tonight! Does sound phony and hilarious. Hopefully the beautiful part of AL nature will be still there.
ALSO, I too am glad that it seems we can't drive up to the Walls of Jericho. We need to keep areas like that pristine.

Les Stroud does "Survivorman". He is for real. He actually does the things that you would need to survive in the wilderness. My wife thinks it is the most boring thing she has ever seen in her life. I find it riveting TV.

I love survivorman. He doesn't even have a film crew and he films it all by himself. It makes it seem more "real."

Well, I watched it and probably wouldn't tune in again. He's a complete moron. Like the OP said, snakes and gators in winter....I mean where does he get his info?

More importantly, killing the boar for entertainment was just stupid. He scared the animal more than anything else before his "humane" kill! Sheesh....

I liked the way the logging truck was cued for entry....looked like a good way for that idiot to leave town....
