They're pretty much all along the Tensaw River down here. When I was a kid we used to fish at a lake in Monroe County that had plenty of gators too.

Yeah I just found out there are manatees in the Tensaw river.

The northernmost gator that I've seen in Alabama was at Perry Lakes in Perry County. Marion, Alabama 36756 - Perry Lakes/Barton's Beach Parks I've heard that they also live in the Sipsey River Swamp in West Alabama but I've yet to see one.

There are gators in the Tennessee River - released about 30 years ago to control the beaver population. I've seen one in Limestone Creek (a tributary)...it looked HUGE. Somebody estimated 12 feet long.
