Small towns?
Can someone give me the names of some small towns in Alabama that have cattle ranching? And what's it like living in a small town, can you really do stuff like leaving your front door unlocked?

Falkville, Hartselle, Danville, Somerville, Lacey's Spring in Morgan County...almost anywhere in the county, or Lawrence County. Even in a small town, I wouldn't leave my doors unlocked.

Depends on the location. From my small towns, I think of FOOD. And boy the food is great. Recently I went to my small hometown where all my kin lived, and I had the best roast beef, greens, sweet potato pie ever. So yeah, if anything, small towns have loads of good cooking.
Course then again, there's little to do and such

Huxford, Uriah, and Frisco City for sure, those towns are slightly over an hour from Mobile. I went to a cattle auction in Frisco City last year.
And no, I wouldn't leave my door unlocked anywhere, you never know what weirdos are out there.

I remember Frisco city and Uriah.
I was driving through there and they had rabbit meat for sell.
Those are nice little towns before you get to Mobile.Beautiful low country with alot of red clay.

Please reconsider -- leaving your front door unlocked. ( regardless where you live)
I live in Minnesota , and my cousin and her teen age son and teen age daughter lived in a small , safe, town that has a state hwy going through it.
They were viscously murdered by 2 men from Mpls who needed gas money to make it home.
The men said they tried 2 houses late at night that were locked and then tried her house. Not locking her house proved fatal.

Thanks so much for the answers, but when I asked can you leave your front door unlocked, I didn't mean I would, it wouldn't matter how safe it was I would never ever ever leave my front door unlocked ever, I guess it was a bad way to ask if they were as safe as you hear

Just about any town in Limestone, Lawrence, Morgan counties have a lot of cattle farms.
Perhaps you shouldn't leave your doors unlocked, but many still do.
