Question Need info on ad valorem tax in baldwin county

My family is soon moving to Fairhope, Alabama in Baldwin County and we cannot seem to find any certain information that actually tells how to calculate the ad valorem tax on vehicle tags. Does anyone know how it is determined and how we can add it up to see about how much it will be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

jgarrett0218, it looks like you're looking at a 43 mill levy in Fairhope. For example, registration on a $20,000 vehicle should run about $154.00 the first year and decline steadily thereafter. [Tax = $20,000 X 15% X .043=$129.00, plus $25.00 for the Tag Fee.]
