Default Gulf Shores and Orange Beach residents use what hospital?

Is there a major hospital on the Eastern Shore? Maybe Pensacola? If there is an emergency, where do residents here go?

South Baldwin Medical Center in Foley.

Home - South Baldwin Regional Medical Center

Something major would require a trip to Pensacola or Mobile.

bitterwarhol is on a distinguished road
I just spent a few days at the Foley hospital, South Baldwin Regional. My sister had twins there. I also had my son there 10 years ago. For some reason it has a bad reputation because its in Foley, which is considered "rough" by Orange Beach standards. Personally? I think its a wonderful hospital with caring staff.

The hospital in Fairhope is Thomas. Alot of people go there, if they don't think Foley isn't good enough. I've never been there though.

My husband was in the Pensacola hospital after a jet ski accident a few years back. Avoid that hospital. It's dirty and full of scary people. I was afraid to walk out to the parking lot.

Which one? Pensacola has three major hospitals... Sacred Heart, West Florida, and Baptist (I prefer WF).

Thanks for the responses. Have many different moving options in the next two years. Whatever the case may be, I have to live near a hospital. Had one too many emergencies in my life - so that keeps me feeling safe.
