Moore polled 17% (second place) in a recent poll of likely Republican primary voters. Bradley Byrne led the poll with 20%, Tim James polled 8% for third place - 46% of GOP primary voters were undecided (anyone's race).

PRESS RELEASE: Independent Statewide Poll Shows Byrne, Moore in Close Race; King and Strange Neck-and-Neck; Huckabee Leading Palin

State Treasurer Kay Ivey, State Representative Robert Bentley, and businessman James Potts are also running in the GOP Primary.

Congressman Artur Davis and Ag Commissioner Ron Sparks are running in the Democrat primary.

He's run for governor before...and was soundly defeated.

I almost hope he'd win the primary, because I seriously doubt he'd win the general. Not that I still wouldn't be scared and that it'd be impossible.

I think Bradley Byrne has it. I'm a little surprised that Kay Ivey doesn't have more than 3% support though.

Just in case, I've created some bumper stickers.

Roy Moore is widely acknowledged to be a nitwit, along with Tim James. I think the Republican nomination will probably go to whomever Bob Riley endorses.
