The church is called Christian Life Church and the web site is CLC Home Page. I have been there since 99 (right before I got out of the air force). that church is one of the big reasons I stayed here. We would love to have you. We are not traditional by any means....we have a LOT of fun. When will you be in the area?

Unity church of Birmingham is about the most diverse church that I've attended. It's not at all traditional. Music plays a big part of the service. There's a church band called the Unity lights that play everthing from top 40 rock to more traditional sacred songs. The church is mostly white but with 20-25 % african american. There are interracial couples and gays and lesbians are also welcome and some do attend and are out of the closet.
Unity church practices what it calls "practical Christianity". It's part of the New Thought movement which Religious Science is also a part. The beliefs are Christian but are quite different from most traditional churches.
