If anyone can help with any information, it would be so appreciated by a guy down here in Hollywood who can't seem to get any information about that tiny place up north. Thank you.

You basically won't ever be able to find any sort of agent (real estate, or CIA, or whatever) that can help you with buying property here. It's almost all just word of mouth, and the part that isn't is a poster at the grocery stores... :-)
But if you are serious about buying something here, now is a pretty good time. You'll definitely have to come for a visit though. And the biggest problem, from what you've said, will likely be the idea of a non-resident owner. What with the extremes in weather that we see on a normal basis, it's an immediate disaster if something goes wrong. Few houses here are built with the idea that nobody will be there when the power goes out. You'll have to work out something, and it will very much depend of the property.
Heh, think about a visit soon, say a from Christmas until just after New Years! It's a great time to be in Barrow, with a lot of stuff going on.
