Was browsing through yahoo and came across this story.
That is a huge fish at 364 pounds!

Alaska angler wins epic struggle with monster halibut

Question is what do they do with the poor fish now?
Does he become filets or what?

Yes it will be cut up for meat as it is dead though these super large fish are best photographed, measured and released as they are the older female breeders and not the best for eating. The best halibuts are called chickens and weigh roughly 25 to 40 or so pounds.

LOL Rance I'm sometimes amazed at how many foods people believe tastes like chicken.
Which then makes me wonder what does chicken taste like?
BTW nice halibut, was going to say nice butts and thought hmm Sweden might not like anyone else admiring your butts

They taste way better than chicken. Chicken is kinda crap these days imo. Fresh halibut with lemon pepper charred in a pan is the best. It doesn't get any tastier. We caught about six of them in the 25-35 pound range a couple weeks ago. Gotta get another ten to fifteen pounds of meat for the freezer here. Get all stocked up for winter so I can pig out and stuff!
