I say that it is Hunting-and-Gathering. Starving people do not have much interest in sex. (I went on a 5-day fast once so I have some personal experience with that statement.)

What say other Alaskans?

Not an Alaskan but I'd say the oldest profession is politics. It all began with a smooth-talkin' snake in an apple tree!
