In March '06 I drove down to Seattle by myself in three days to watch a motorcycle race and made it back up to Alaska in three days. The Canadians take great care of the road in winter, they keep them clear after a snow storm. They do put down pea gravel on top after they plow them, keep this in mind when you approach another vehicle, especially a semi. I've gone through two windshields since 05.
