Yeah right. Only 99% of the incumbents were able to win. Boy, they're going done the road in droves...

Keep trying to convince yourself, and fabricate all the "facts" you want... but reality is still not going to agree with you.

The Federal Government is all Americans. We as a group pay for our defense, for roads, for the National Weather Service, for the FAA , NOAA, etc etc. We do that because it benefits all Amercans, and indeed the work done in Alaska is of benefit to vastly more Americans than there are people in Alaska. Your brain dead candidate Joe Miller would have Alaskans pay the cost off everything done in Alaska by these Federal agencies. That is absurdly idiotic.

That is, if you aren't catching the drift yet, shifting the cost of Federal programs to the State of Alaska. It would bankrupt Alaska very quickly if only Alaskans are included in the tax pool that supports the benefits that Alaska provides to the rest of the nation.
Wrong, Floyd. The Federal government isn't both the public and private sector. The President does represent all Americans. Maybe that's what you are trying but forgot to say? Of course all tax payers "not all Americans" pay for all of those services you have mentioned plus a lot more. I have no arguments with that

Miller is not here to defend himself from the Democrat left, as much as Majic (whatever his name) is not here to defend himself from the things you and others have said about him. But I will certainly vote for Miller instead of the candidate from the left.

Argue that in a thread where it's germane. Nobody here suggest that the government is the "private sector".

You've never indicated that you have no argument with that! And of course you have argued otherwise, often. And your candidate Joe Miller has too.

But you are here, and your statements in general are not defensible. Worse yet, you specifically can't defend them either. Instead you come up with platitudes, like "The Federal government isn't both the public and private sector." That of course is by definition...

Yes, she is

But after cutting some firewood in the backyard (to be used next year), I am getting ready to go for a long walk with our youngest daughter (our dog). Meanwhile I have some very fresh salmon fillets ready for the oven, so I will take care of dinner just before she arrives home from work. I caught enough reds to keep us going all winter, and let me tell you that these reds were the largest and healthiest-looking I have caught at the Copper for a lot of years. The water was very high and cold all summer long, and maybe that helped (?). The flesh is crimson red and soft or mushy to the touch. Oh, yes. Almost forgot: we will have baked potatoes and a fruit-salad with the salmon. I will top mine with a cup of S. AU Cabernet, while my wife will have a glass of milk (she does not drink my kind of juice). Our daughter, of course, will have salmon and brown rice for dinner.

But Floyd told me not too long ago that all Americans are the Federal Government. Would you believe that nonsense coming from Floyd Maybe at his old age he has forgotten that our form of government has three branches, and that the private sector is not one of them?

Ahhh, Ray... Have you ever taken some time to read the Constitution of the United States of America?

It make it pretty clear, in the first three words: "We the people ...".

That's right, we are all part of our government. That's why the government does things in court as "The People". Sometimes they say "The State" or something similar, but it has the same meaning: the people.

You don't pay taxes because you're a prisoner, you pay them because you are part and parcel of the government that collects and spends them. You vote too. You serve on juries. And you are part of the pool from which various slots such as commission and oversight committees are chosen.

You are a part of the government. Literally and figuratively the most important part.

Let me tell you something, Stiff. In the first place I'm amending my first reply to you, even though I believe that the reply is the sort of thing you'd actually understand.

On second though, never mind. You're not worth it. All you do is troll this forum and every now and then you crop up with some lame excuse for your nasty behavior such as your meds ain't working right or some such bs.

No, Floyd "We the people" is not in reference to the Federal Government. Our Federal Government has three branches, none of which has anything to do with the private sector. If the people were the Federal government, then Obamacare nor the bailouts would have been imposed on a majority of "we the people." If the Federal Government is "we the people," where does that leave State government, and even borough governments?

Stiff, you ought to send back your disability payments that you get from the government and let Social Darwinism take it's toll.
