Default Fall whaling begins

Fall whaling started today in Barrow. The other villages gave Barrow 12 strikes so they went out today but came in because the wind was too strong. I'm off Monday and Tuesday so I plan on going to watch.

I'll donate a Sony FD7 that uses 3 inch floppy discs which I got when digitals first came out. Only problem is I don't have a battery or charger for it. If someone can come up with a battery and charger it took pretty good pictures back in the dark ages so it might suffice. However it is a bit bulky to get into your jacket pocket in cold weather.

When fishing for whale, what kind of bait is best? Night crawlers, minnows, crickets, meal worms?

Or is using fish lures more effective?

Just curious, what does it mean when you said "The other villages gave Barrow 12 strikes" ? What does it mean to give strikes? Thanks!

There's a limited number of strikes per village and Barrow had a very good Spring season so they were out of strikes. The other villages can donate or have strikes donated to them. Barrow had 12 donated for the Falll season.
