Well, now you are showing your true colors, to coin a phrase.

If this thread had anything to do with Obama there would be a slight chance your comment might be relevant. But it's not.

I actually find it amusing that there are so many anti-Palin posts here. The rest of the country loves Palin, including myself. I mean, she is the American story embodied. Small town girl, mom, decides to make a difference and becomes mayor then decides to make a difference in the state and becomes Gov of the largest and most energy producing state in the union. Then she gets picked to run for vice pres of the USA. She's one of us. Not one of those Ivy-league elites that think they are smarter than the rest of us.

thus I find it odd that you guys not like her. If she had made vice-president, couldn't you see the energy sector jobs Alaska would've gotten? I think ultimately, she has helped the rest of us see the contribution Alaska makes to the rest of the country.

LOL. ACES, anyone? Have you seen the energy sector jobs that disappeared from Alaska during her time as gov. here? Of course you've seen them---some of them fled to North Dakota.

Gee, I take it that you find the Palin droppings finger lickin' good then. What do you wash it down with?

Not all of the country loves Palin. And I don't know a single woman who views her as the American story, or a woman to be used as a role model. Just sayin...

There's no doubt she's as good an ambassador for Alaska as Larry Craig is for your state of Idaho.

That’s because you don’t know anything about her, other than what is reported in the BS media. Yea, she talks a good conservative line, but actions speak louder than words and her ACTIONS as governor were a train-wreck for the state of Alaska.
  1. Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share (ACES): her first major piece of legislation. She ran for governor on the populist platform of “getting even with those evil, greedy oil companies” (hardly a conservative platform at all). True to her word, ACES was nothing short of the biggest commie/socialist progressive, punitive, tax hike on our oil producers in state history. Some of the effects:
    • Alaska is now one of the most highly taxed oil producing regions in the world.
    • Future oil exploration and development in our state is at a virtual standstill.
    • There is a credible possibility that the Trans-Alaska pipeline could shut down in the next 5-10 years.
    • Many of the major oil companies (BP, Conoco-Philips, Chevron, etc) have some of their Alaska assets up for sale.
  2. Alaska Gas-Line Inducement Act (AGIA) – Government intrusion into the private enterprise of building a gas line that is basically a $500 million give away of state money to a foreign pipeline company (Trans-Canada) to study a gas line, though they don’t actually have to build anything.
  3. Installing a staff of department heads, some of whom are openly hostile to the free market and private enterprises.
  4. A 25% increase in the size and budget of State government all in less than one full term as Governor. One of the largest single increases in state history since inception.
Again, everything you hear in the media down there about her is bogus. Both good and bad. One side would like you to believe she’s the greatest conservative mind since Ronald Reagan, the other side that she actually does believe she can see Russia from her house. All BS. I go by what she actually did when she ran the state – and she ran it like a LIBERAL. And I’ve got the phone numbers of several conservative talk-show hosts up here if you don’t want to believe me.
