There sure are some whack job politricksters in Alaska.

Do they all quit or was that just Palin?

The trick is not to vote for insane people.

It's a bit tempting to play partisan politics with that, and say it just means
voting a Democrat straight ticket. :-)

But the truth is that while Republicans field far more of the insane but serious candidates, the Democrats have also had a few. Or, one. Theresa Obermeyer ran against Ted Stevens more than once. I wouldn't want to say that she was a serious contender, but she was frightening. Absolutely scary.

But what about the millions of whacko people in the lower 48 that voted for that idiot Obama? At least Palin knew when to quit. Obama is hellbent on leading the country to destruction. He's one of the few people is this country that you can call "Absolutely Clueless!!"....

I can't decide who you're more obsessed with, Obama or Floyd.

Well Marty, I don't know how to break the news to you, but, you got 0 votes for your write-in efforts. Zero as in none. Nada. Zippo. Goose egg. Zilch. None of your friends here on C-D voted for you.

Don't let these results stop you from trying again. You can't do any worse, but odds are, you'll get at least one vote if you campaign for an hour or so at your neighborhood tavern.

Stiffneck I've avoided responding to your posts for quite some time now. You are denigrating someone who has achieved considerable honors as a scholar up to and including a JD, achieved some notable standing as a politician by winning the highest elective office in the land, and as an intelligent human capable of meeting fully the requirements for that office.
I wonder what criteria allowed you to be tolerated as a sworn peace officer, in any jurisdiction, for a long enough period of time to be able to claim retirement based on good and notable services in that position? Or are we to assume that your present lack of cogent ability tells how far you have drifted from the qualities you might have once possessed?

It looks as though Lisa has wrapped it up. Personally, I didn't think she'd run as a write-in, and after she did, I certainly didn't think she'd win with the entire Republican establishment against her.

But thanks to the real Joe being exposed and the Alaskan voters saying hang on here a minute, Miller is now going to have to return to hacking computers and being the most paranoid divorce attorney in Alaska.

And the voters of Alaska will hailed as the best doggone spellers in the entire country.
