I like Palin but I would like to see her move a little closer to the center. I would feel better with her at the helm then Obama. That being said she doesn't have a chance with the media hating her as much as they do. Nixon could have told her that.

I knew when President Obama was elected that he would have a difficult presidency due to the state of the economy. Has anyone that is against him ever thought about what would have happened to the economy had he not bailed out those large financial firms? Those failures would have affected the entire world in ways we can't even predict. It was not in this country's best interests to have just ignored the situation. And healthcare, while there are parts of it I don't agree with, I had good insurance and still struggled with paying for medically necessary things for my family. Something is wrong when a good chunk of your income is going for insurance, and you still can't take care of your family's medical needs. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of people who hate Obama and call him a socialist don't understand economics. Since Sarah Palin could not even handle a simple real estate transaction in Wasilla when she was mayor, and built a sports complex on someone else's land when she knew the city did not have title to said land, costing the taxpayers considerably more money, probably does not understand the financial market.

Now where is Stiffy frothing about brown people? Maybe we need to start reporting his racist rantings.
In the Anchorage sub-forum, in a "Cost of living" thread, where he had nasty things to say about the Mexican population in Texas. It was Tigre79 who responded so well to Stiffy's dirt.

Of course almost everything Stiffy says about Barrow is from his bitterness that Native people and Native values rule here. He just vents on me because I obviously support making sure it stays that way here! Burns his...

Palin and Obama both need to come to the center more. However, I can see Obama actually doing that, but Palin would NEVER modify her decisions.

Sure she would, if there was money to be made from it. She knows who she's playing to though...the tea party followers are just a cash cow for her.

I truly do despair. Every now and then I see a glimmer of humanity in Stiffy's posts, but he always manages to destroy my hopes. Quite a sad case.

That's what someone else said to Stiffy in a different thread. Seems to apply here too.
Um, I said that. And the only reason it would apply here is if you think that someone must be racist if they dislike Obama, which is ludicrous.

When someone who is a racist says they dislike Obama, and then hasn't got any real reasons for it... well in fact I do think it applies here!

All he did was to screw-up everything, one by one. For example:

a. Continuing the bail-outs Bush started
b. Bush left behind a $1-trillion deficit, and Obama tripled that amount within 18 months in office
c. Bush left wars taking place, and Obama continued them just the same
d. Obama, with the help of Congress under Pelosi, passed a healthcare bill that a majority of Americans did not want, and still don't to this day
e. Obama decided to process the prisoners in Guantanamo through civilian courts, instead of military courts, and it has turned the whole thing into a big mess
