Mr Ray? Don't let Abbie read this thread.
hmmmm...Abbie is spayed already, but I still wouldn't have "Romeo" get close and try to talk her into a date or something

Hey, I would have shot Romeo on the spot if he would have approached Abbie with some lecherous intentions

But at least Romeo was handsome compared to this one:

Wow, now that's a dog only a mother could love. Maybe.

Maybe they should have a funeral for all the wolves that killed Candice Berner at Chignik Lake earlier this year. Wolves are wild animals and should be treated as such. Sure Romeo was a good looking animal but his lack of fear of humans cost him his life. Remember this next time you do a good deed and feed a wild animal. Your nice gesture might be dooming them down the road.

Nope, but I bet a lotta folks would feel a lot better. Not to mention the guy who killed him wouldn't be poachin' anymore. Would probably deter others from doing the same. Yep. Win-win all the way around.

Had this been a Candace Berner post or even a 'let's have a memorial service for all those killed by wild animals' post........but it's not.

I'm sure it would have been a matter of time that this wolf would turn on someone and kill a person or a pet.

It's fairly certain he got a pet or two. I attribute it to owners not keeping track of their small dogs. As for people, I'm betting no. There were far too many encounters where he had a one-on-one situation where he could have taken a person down. From his perspective, he probably figured he'd have an equal chance of getting injured. Besides, these two legged animals bring him dogs to play with. That said, you should never trust a wild animal to not harm you.
