We went to the Bear Paw Festival today, lovely day for it, and it was pleasantly low key, especially in comparison to the State Fair. Just a small festival with carnival rides (except for a long line at the ferris wheel where we were stuck behind a couple in their fifties, obviously on a first date & doing wayyyyy too much PDA
) a little midway, and some craft booths. Kind of spread out over a large area. You can go to this event and not spend the fortune we spent at the State Fair last summer. Plus, parking was across the street and no huge traffic ritual to get there. I liked it. Only bad thing: couldn't find deep-fried twinkies! |
