If you're at Centennial Hall there is a really good restaurant and bar at the Prospector Hotel which is just a couple of minutes away.

From Centennial Hall I would just walk across the road to the channel, and start heading towards town. There are tons of picture taking opportunities - the channel, the mountains on Douglas, Coast Guard cutters, the Juneau-Douglas Bridge, the mountains over on the Juneau side, then Marine Park and boardwalk. Here's a link to the miners statue I mentioned: Statue of Hard Rock Miners, Juneau | Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/arthur_chapman/3976466986/ - broken link)

Here's a link to the Red Dog downtown (across from Marine Park near the library): Red Dog Saloon | Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/hokiefacs/2763318352/ - broken link)

There's a great native Alaskan painting along one wall on the outside of City Hall across the road from Marine Park. Then walk through town - it's a lovely city which backs up to the mountains. Just do it during the day.
