These were King salmon fry being raised in a terminal fishery out on Port St. Nick road in Craig. Last year was the first year they came back...I remember them now; we got quite a few of them and they were huge. Lots of white King among them.

yeah but "gas" kills to quickly...slowly suffocated them like they did the fish...slow an painful death....gasping for oxygen!

That was their intent, to kill them off, and not just as an act of senseless vandalism. We'll still have runs until '14 though.

When I read this in the paper this morning my heart sank.

This wasn't a stupid act of vandalism, this is sabatoging an industry. I'm sure there is something in the Patriot Act that can be used against these morons if they're caught.

Actually, a good case could be built on that very statement.

Using that term could literally label them as "domestic terrorists" and they could get decades wearing yellow jumpsuits.
