anyone likes Alaska magazine? I always liked it back in the 1980's. Letters notes and comments was very good. Now city-data.com kind of replaced it in good way.

Also I think Alaska Magazine should focus on the regional areas of Alaska each month. That would be so cool.

Like many things, it's not what it once was. Alaska Sportsman was full of very good Alaskana, specifically related to our state. It's glossy advertising now, and definitely a Sunset-type magazine, but probably no worse/no better than anything else you can get on the market these days related to Alaska. I've grown into my oldtimer role comfortably, have had my rebel moments, but haven't quite relaxed into accepting the changes we've undergone. The farther away I can get, the happier I am. And I quit subscribing to Alaska Magazine when it sold some decades ago. Is Alaska Northwest Publishing even in business any more?
