Truely one of the main 'staple' foods of the Native Culture They are extremely popular in all parts of Alaska,with native and all other peoples. Believe it or not they didn't carry these back in Boston when I was last there, we had to import them from relatives in the village.

The nice thing is that Pilot Bread is a great platform for so many things. We used to toast over a campfire and eat plain.

It makes a great topping for French Onion Soup. Just have to have a big bowl.

My school used to make pizza with pilot bread in the '70's, it was pretty good!
