Guys, why can't you give a proper answer instead of making fun of him.

EarthPhoenix, you do not need a visa if you are flying from the lower 48 states to Alaska. Are you planning on moving there for good. I have lived there, so if you have questions, feel free to PM me.

the "proper"answer was given to the OP in the very next post! seen quoted above...on any state forum it tends to get old when the OP appears to have done no research (dead give away with simple question) and just pops on a forum for the answer....

1 is, do I have to have a Air Travel Visa or what ever it is called so I can fly from one state to the next, when the Flight will be flying Over Canada?

Also another question or 2 if I may, to save the most on fare cost how much in advance should I book the flight?

Any recommendations on the best way to ship some of my things to myself from my home now to there? Not an entire home or even an entire room, I imagine it would not be practical to ship a sofa, however I have a nicer Tv that I would imagine would cost about the same to ship via buying one once there, information like that could be pretty useful, main thing I would need to know at the moment anyway is the Visa question.

Thanks for any help,

~Jason
Seriously, Jason, you need to go back to school. Alaska is in the U.S. No passport needed.
