Default Fatal crashes close Sterling Highway

How tragic.....sympathy to the families of the one who lost their lives in these accidents.

when I drove through on my way to Homer the traffic was "combat" driving....sure hope it calms down 'cuz I'm gonna be driving back up thru in a couple days

My oldest is on that road driving diwn from Anchorage to go canoeing the lakes up by Swanson.

Great, I'm supposed to be on a jet at 7AM out of Anc. The article said the road was closed but may open at 6AM.

I heard a bunch of sirens on the highway earlier. Must have been what all the noise was about.

I've already missed my flight. As much traffic is on the road this morning, the highway must be open now. But there was no way I could make the drive to Anc in an hour.

bummer Rance!...the roads are jam packed with everyone heading to the Kenai River for the explosion of fish run. praying for a safe trip to Anchorage for you for the next flight.

ERA had one flight that may have got me there in time. But the plane was so full of fish boxes I couldn't get a seat. Too much weight.
