Yeah, I wouldn't call that "tanking" though. It dropped from a June 30 estimate of $40 billion to now around $38 billion. I mean, by a financial-type person's standards that might be tanking, but to me that's $38 billion. So I would say it'll still be paying out. And they seem to be managing it fairly well, based on that article.

You would be valuable had you bought even 1000 shares of Apple when Jobs took back control of the company in 1997.

Your $5500 investment then would be worth around $360,000 today.

I've never owned an Apple. Windows 7 is by far the best operating system yet put out by Microsoft. I'm happy with it.
Windows 7 is trying to catch-up with Mac OSX, but it has some time to go since Apple just upgrade the OS once more.

Sometimes I find the Mac interface tedious, but that's probably just because PCs are second nature to me after using them for so long.

What century are you in??? I have PC and 3DS Max works just fine -- but they do make a Mac version, read the system requirements.

Way way way back in the day when I first started in the field Mac was the best platform for graphics programs. PC has come a LONG way and many PC versions of the formerly Mac-only graphics programs work better. I recently went back to design school to take some classes and found the Mac progs and network there to be excruciatingly ssssslllllooooowwww... I brought my PC laptop to class with the same progs installed to do my work after the first week!

I have been using 3d Studio Max on my PC for more than 15 years.

I began with v 1.5 Now Max 12 is out I believe. I am using V 9.

Long before Auto Desk starting buying up all the best 3d Apps. Max could not work on a Macintosh.

When Max was owned by Discreet - it could not be done.

I've spent too much time trying to learn this incredible program on my own and I'm not going to switch to a different 3d app now.

I will stick with a PC.
