Seeing a lot of information online about this; some accounts say that 2011-2012 will be the peak year of the current cycle, and others say 2012-2013. Interested in hearing others' thoughts on this.

Stayed for 10 nights on Cleary Summit in March of this year, and saw some wonderful night skies. Definitely want to come back before too long; I have been missing it since the day I left.

The aurora borealis always peak during the solar maximum, for the obvious reasons. The solar maximum comes in 11 year cycles, and since the last one was in 2001, the next one will be in 2012.

But the ones we had in March this year were amazing. Last year during moose season, by the end of the first week at my campsite, we had some amazing Auroras just about each night around 10:00 PM.
