Hi,
Seeing as you are an Army kid you might be familiar with the GS employee system. Check out usajobs dot gov and see if they've got anything listed. Then again if you can hang on through the 3+ month hiring process I've heard about, then maybe you can take any job with them and then request a permanent change to move elsewhere. Apparently they pay for it.

Then again, seeing as you already work in a hospital, right? Or at least a medical facility now? Then why not use the internet to go to hospital websites in AK and apply online. You could also check the online version of local newspapers to find a job too but, the smaller the facility, perhaps the least likelihood to start off with.

p.s. was a lab tech in my 20's and 30's and seeing as I was the 'entry-level' lab tech without a Bachelor's degree the job competition was very high for those entry level jobs!
