Hi ,
To all of the locals in the Cooper Landing/Kenai Lake area, we are coming up this weekend and planning on hiking in the Ressurrection Trail area.
With reports of flood warnings, just wondering if I could get any additional info, like maybe a report on how rainy, muddy it actually is?
Thanks everyone!

I haven't been on that trail in a few years during non winter months. More than likely there will be a few spots that will have water running across and plenty of muddy areas. Shouldn't be anything you can't wade through or get around tho. The falls will likely look pretty cool. Watch for bears on the trail. Make plenty of noise. And bring a camera!

Thanks Rance! Have camera, bear bell, whistle, bear spray etc all ready!
Can't wait for the falls!!!

We are staying at two of the Forest Service cabins along the way, so at least we will be out of the elements at night!

We have always visited AK in September after labor day, as we enjoy the lack of bugs, people(where we go, we have never seen a soul) and the free campgrounds! And being from AZ where it was 110 yesterday, the cool September temps do not bother us a bit! I know the Ressurection trail is very popular, so we expect to see some fellow hikers/bikers.
I am just worried about the road flooding out causing closures. I know that Exit Glacier road closed for a bit this year and last year due to flooding.

The article mentions Primrose campground possibly being flooded out, we have stayed there numerous times and love it.
Oh well, it will still be fun, I don't mind the rain, (again, we barely got any this year in AZ) but, hoping the flooding is not too serious for anyone.
