My heart is very happy and full right now.
After a visit and planning for years, the children(teens) and I will be
coming to our new home the first week in November if all goes as planned!! I can't wait to get there! We are having our huge household sale this Saturday. I found someone that wants to buy my car here and will sell it and my friend in Palmer found a truck I can buy. I have a job waiting for me and we are ready to start our new adventure. Planning on checking our luggage and our little chihuahua is coming too. We are staying with my friend for a week while I take a closer look at some apartments there.
Is there anything you would recommend us pack (besides wearing warmer clothes/gear)? Please share if there is.
What a great birthday present for my 50th year in a few weeks!!
woohoo.
Ginger

Good, you are going to make it! Got snow in parts of the valley today, but none in Palmer yet. You will likely be greeted by a white Palmer.

Good luck. A warm wind has moved into the mat-su area and should be here for the next few days. Keeps away the snow and frost, but the wind is always what I didn't like and the last 2 weeks of no wind have been beautiful. Going back home to the bush tomorrow, liked my short time in the valley, but glad to be going home. Obviously I won't be here when you show up, but maybe in the future when I get more time on this board, get to know the people, and I am in the area, our paths will cross. If you need to know about valley and Alaska life, just ask.

I envy you, gingerpeaches. Please don't forget your little lonely friend back in the deep south who sent tons of photos for you and everyone else to enjoy this summer...lol. In other words, I am looking forward to hearing from you and seeing all of the photo opportunities that I'm going to be missing out on. Please, please, please take me with you.
