Yes, I blame Canada. I refuse to play the blame the victim game.
As much as I would like to have things "my" way and support "my" views and beliefs...I still have to share this planet with others that don't necessarily think like I do. You go into another country then be prepared to follow their rules. We don't have to like it...just do it or don't go. I'm not so sure why this concept is so complicated.

I'd say about 1/2 of my firearms were bought used from private individuals. Maybe it comes from living a bit of an independent life in Alaska but there are some things the government just doesn't need to know.

I'm sure that's true. But I'm sure you would agree if you don't want to be caught on the Border...don't try and take it across. If they find something...do they confiscate it? Do you get arrested or fined...or does it just depend?

My comment has nothing to do with taking guns across the Canadian border. You need to go back and read the rest of the thread. It's just plain stupid to try and think you can smuggle any type of firearm across the border.

They'll seize your firearm, they'll arrest you and then throw your buttt in jail. IT AIN'T WORTH IT!!!!!!

Thats funny...Im thinking they don't escort you over the Border if you bring guns now. Shows the importance of education (knowing that the Klondike is Canada). Then again I didnt know that. Been a long time since I studied anything about Canada.

Stiff - You left out the part where they seize your car too... They may end up letting you go at one point as they don't want to pay your room and board, but all your stuff goes "bye bye".

And if you think Canada is bad, get caught with just one spent ammo casing while trying to get into Mexico and see what happens...
