And if so, is there a team that most Alaskans root for? Are there so many transplants that people just root for their home teams?! Is football and other American sports not such a big deal in Alaska? Just curious...

I was following the Colts until they played the Saints on Sunday night.
(They lost 7-62, making them 0-7 this year)

I know a lot of Steeler fans who are not from Pittsburgh....back in the old days Alaskan tv was delayed, and because my dad already knew who won, he never watched sports. I did not know until I was an adult that he loved sports....

Alaska is like everywhere else in the United States, pretty much.

I wish the guys at work would stop talking about football. It's about all they can talk about this time of year. Most of them are fans of their hometown teams. It doesn't seem like guys who grew up here care as much about it.

We're in the coverage area for the Seahawks, so we get their games on tv and radio, but people seem to keep allegiance to the teams from where they are from, and people who grew up here don't much care. I have noticed a fair number of Packer and Vikings fans.
