While intentionally derailing a thread is a form of communal censorship, as a representative I am obliged to respond to questions about the Pirate Party:
The Pirate Party movement isn't that weird, we have seats in European Parliament, Berliner state parliament, all levels of German local politics, we are a registered party in 18 different countries, and are registered parties in Massachusetts and Florida (with Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, and Oregon all with active parties as well).

Pirate Parties International - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you have any other questions about the Pirate Party movement read the links that I have posted, and query me about them or just Google it.
------------------

Angry Parrot Communications is not the Pirate Party, it has no relations to the Pirate Party in the slightest. It does use ethical business practices to strengthen communities with affordable high speed internet and free and low cost calling to the states and internationally.

My mother is a teacher in Alaska, I was a substitute teacher in Alaska... I want to help the children. I want to enable these communities to have better access to the world around them, and more importantly have a means to share their culture with the outside world.

If you want to try and detract from that, that's okay. My team is committed to strengthening the Alaskan communities and we are making those calls and making those connections because it's important to us.

This thread shouldn't even be here. You're advertising a business.

I did no such thing as "derailing a thread" I simply did a search and came up with the info an posted...I have made no statement of like, dislike, or any such personal opinion...simply posted what was found on the internet...this is what forum and internet are for...savvy people can find out anything...ANYTHING...that they want if they know how! this is NOT censorship but a sharing of information and if you have nothing to be ashamed of and are above board then you would not be being defensive and calling this "communal censorship!" I guess in your mind everyone who "researches" an simply posts finding are the enemy and going for censorship..wow...get a grip

an the worst thing is he is admitting thru his statement ...this is being used as a political agenda media..."As a politician I have every motivation to do good things for communities and use them to sway public opinion"
shame on you Travis!

This would be a lot more convincing if you were representing a non-profit. As it is this thread is just very thinly veiled advertising, which violates the TOS.

As for the Pirate Party thing, who cares? There are enough holes in the advertising claims themselves without needing to bring the advertiser's personal politics into it.
