There is some Fool who posts here about how much he hates the military and wants to see the budget slashed. Ask him.

I don't hate the military but I want its budgets slashed. There is something vulgar about people (aka conservatives) who want to drop trillions of dollars destroying and then rebuilding other countries but scream "socialism" when anyone suggests rebuilding America.

[SIZE=3]I filed my 2010 tax return and expected a refund. Instead, I’m being audited! In response to the question "Number of dependents,"I replied: “12 million illegal immigrants; 3 million crack-heads; 42 million unemployable lazy bastards; the entire cast of the Jerry Springer Show; 2 million people in over 243 prisons; 300,000 leftovers from Katrina; half of Mexico; and 535 more in the U.S. House and Senate.” Apparently, this wasn't an acceptable answer…. Slash the military budget by $500 billion and use that money to rebuild America's crumbling infrastructure.

Then slash military pensions by 75%, because as a taxpayer, I'm sick and tired of paying for them. If those retired military socialists want to live off the taxpayer, then let them move to some Scandinavian country.

Layoff 53 Americans and allow 106 illegal aliens to cross the border. That should balance things out....

The military is the one major program the US Government has a Constatutional mandate to protect.

Not healthcare, welfare, wall street, auto companies, foreign aid, income taxes, Intrastate business, gun control and the list goes on.

When cuts come to one of the few things that they should keep up, they cut!

Yet our Politicians swore an oath to uphold but seem to have forgot about.

2012 elections will be a defining moment in our history. We will either do a 180 degrees from where we are going or spend ourselves out of existiance...

That was TARP was for, all the shovel ready jobs that didn't see a shovel. Instead it went to Obama's supporters for payback.

I don't have a problem for people putting their life on the line for twenty years at just above food stamp wages getting retirement. Verses some Congress's people getting full retirement after screwing us and one term and that is what would pay a dozen military retires their pension and service or more.

I got out of the Coast Guard as an E-6 after seven years, Married with one kid and I qualified for food stamps.... Not a big buck lifestyle, but the pay did go up after Reagan, but the pay verses your risk isn't that great verses a job in the civilian world
