Can't believe the old guy was arrested on child porn charges. Took his laptop in to be fixed because of printing issues and it spat out a bunch of pics of child porn. Seems strange...the old guy's 80 but not so senile he'd take his computer to be fixed because he couldn't print out illegal porn. Something just doesn't seem right here but who knows.
Could be he is indeed a perv. But there also are increasing instances of pervs hacking into other people's computers to store their filth there in the hopes they won't get caught. We'll just have to wait and see.

Police in the Southeast Alaska city seized Shay's computer and printer at the computer shop Friday, Dossett said. A detective obtained a search warrant for the computer equipment and for Shay's home, where they found the former borough mayor about 6:30 p.m.
Shay said he wanted to talk to a lawyer and left the home, police said. He was arrested when he returned to the residence at about 10:30 that evening, Dossett said.

Well...anyone computer savvy enough to know how to download child porn would also be savvy enough to know not to take your laptop into the shop because you were having trouble printing it out. Or maybe he's a perv and age is just catching up with him and he didn't think about that. It will be interesting to see what his defense is. And apparently they found some that had been printed out, in his home, which doesn't look good for him.

I think more details are in order...who the hell knows who else was in that house? Years ago, I had a houseguest who would stay up late at night watching tv, and I got a cable bill for quite a few pay per view porn shows. He's 80 so it stands to reason he may have household help of some kind (not all housekeepers are women these days). Relatives etc. A lot of seniors are taken advantage of.
But yes, every now and then one of these pillar of the community types end up being found to be genuine pervs...could well be the case here, but I just hope he isn't convicted in the media before he has a chance to present his case.
