Can you get on a waiting list for the place that Warpt mentioned and stay in the temporary housing until something opens up there?
My fiance was told that the temporary housing would not allow pets and they pay for relocation but not to relocate pets...so they said we would prolly have to leave our pets behind until we found a place (but that is not an option for us). Although they do not have anything open at present we will call the number they provided and get on the waiting list for now.

Keep looking and be patience...something will show up for you. Your pets are your family.

A dog adopted just hours earlier from a pound likely saved a Hillsboro family from burglary Wednesday, and possibly an even worse fate.
Around 5 p.m., Rubert “Lee” and Elizabeth Littler adopted a 135-pound Saint Bernard from the Highland County Dog Pound. About six hours later the dog chased down a burglar that had allegedly cut telephone and cable lines to his new owner’s West Pleasant Street home and was attempting (or already had) to enter a basement door on the back side of the home.

Rescued dog fends off intruder hours after being adopted

+1 for pets. -1 for humans.

Yep, we will never agree. Animals are animals. These live across the street from my daughters house in Oklahoma. All I see are steaks, roasts, ribs and hamburger. Grilled up with a little Johnnies Seasoning Salt and they'd be might tasty. A friend of mine that travels to different Asian countries likes his dogs deep fried with a sweet and sour dipping sauce.

That money spent on pets could be better spent on the thousands of starving orphans in Africa. Or on adopting the female human babies that are abandoned in China everyday. Unfortunately we live in a screwed up country with a screwed up value system.....

yes well when you allow 1% of the nation to control 90% of the money you will always have proverty, and fact of the matter is africans would prolly have been better off if us white folk would have kept out lol.

we were not talking about money spent....simple compassion, understanding and love of an animal.....what about feeding the starving people here, the elderly that can have to chose between heat, food, med's or the vet's that have been let go by the gov. and aren't making it...how about adopting children from here within the US!...yeah we live in a screwed up country when people are willing to do more for another country than their own.

Amen. i will be praying that housing will be found for this couple and their fourlegged family member. God bless all yall dog lovers out there! (oh and by the way, for those who say they wouldnt rent to people with pets, i can GUARANTEE one thing, my dogs are much better behaved than some folks rugrats, i mean, kids. two legged little ones can cause alot more damage than most dogs owned by responsible dog owners)
