Gen, most of our snow you can just drive through. It's very dry so light and fluffy.

Does anyone have heated driveways in AK? I saw those in the NE U.S. and that looked like a neat, if not expensive alternative to manual labor.

If the driveway sloped down to the street at all, wouldn't the melted snow just pool and freeze there? The neighbors would love that.

You turn it on before the snow sticks and it boils away the snow. The ones I saw have steam coming off of them and no water run off.

But if you did, a drainage system could be incorporated onto it so you do not make you neighbors driveway or the street an ice rink.

I am enthused to experience the dry snow.

Talking about my pending move and answering questions about it from friends during Thanksgiving just made me even more excited about it!
