Eclipse
is anyone watching the lunar eclipse tonight (this morning)? I'm going to try but don't think I can stay awake for it.

I'm going to set my alarm for it and get up. The last lunar eclipse I saw was in Biloxi, MS in 2004 I think. It happened around 10pm on a Friday night. I remember that part because I was on an Air Force base drinking Amaretto. Oh the days.
Happy viewing

Weather report looks good. How about taking a photo or series of them for us?
Enjoy!

I hope someone gets some pictures.
Looks like the skies are pretty clear over most of the state.
Has anyone seen the lights yet? We had them a few nights ago. It would be cool if they came out tonight...

I got photos but they didn't turn out very good. The moon was red for 45 minutes. It was awesome!
The arctic cam didn't get the shot. They had the moon at first but it moved across low in the southern horizon out of view of the cam.
I saw a shot from Petersberg on the ADN online today. Not a red shot but cool none the less.

Were you using film or digital?
I think digital would of been very difficult with the cameras we have now.
